Ajasin Foundation, Live to Serve

So long as injustice remains, the call to service continues.

Pa Ajasin's life reminds us that progress is achieved not by convenience, but by courage, consistency, and faith in doing what is right, regardless of the cost.

Cohort 1 did not just learn a few songs and a dance step. Over the course of an intensive residency, a group of children and teenagers from Owo sat with tradition, picked up drama, and turned both into something they could perform with their own bodies and voices. This Saturday, that work leaves the rehearsal room and meets an audience.

Expect performances built around three ideas the young performers have lived with throughout the residency: the customs and values that make Owo what it is, the arts as a tool for peace rather than noise, and a call to national unity that these children are old enough to understand and young enough to perform without cynicism. There will be colour, drumming, storytelling, and a hall full of people who came to watch children take culture seriously.

This is a showcase, not a lecture. Come and see for yourself what a season of discipline and rehearsal can produce.

01

Owo, Remembered

The residency roots the children in the traditions and values that shaped their own community, so they carry Owo forward rather than lose it.

02

Arts As Peace

Every dance and scene was built to show that creative expression, not conflict, is how young people can be heard.

03

One Nigeria, Their Way

Through performance, the children carry a message of unity and civic responsibility to an audience of their elders.

Continue What Pa Ajasin Started

Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin made education free so that a child's ability, not their parents' pocket, would decide that child's future. Every gift to the Ajasin Foundation keeps that same promise alive for the next child with more talent than opportunity.
