Ajasin Foundation, Live to Serve

So long as injustice remains, the call to service continues.

Pa Ajasin's life reminds us that progress is achieved not by convenience, but by courage, consistency, and faith in doing what is right, regardless of the cost.

Our leadership

The two who opened the day

Both are children of Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin, and both still carry the work.

Chief Tokunbo Ajasin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Public servant and elder statesman of Owo, and a former Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State on the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
Mrs Jumoke Anifowose, Secretary of the Board of Trustees. Her work on education, scholarships and community development keeps the Foundation's promise in daily practice.

The running order

From Iwure to the vote of thanks

Traditional prayers, a welcome from the Chairman, testimonies from the residents, then the children took the floor: public speaking, cultural dance, and Who's Got Talent.

The order of programme. Performer names are withheld here: the children are minors, and a printed programme handed to guests is a different thing from a public page.

Under royal patronage

Owo Kingdom stood with the children

The residency was held under the patronage of the palace, which is why the hall filled with elders as well as parents.

His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Kingdom.
Her Imperial Majesty, Olori Adenike Ajibade of Owo Kingdom.

What comes next

Cohort 2 is looking for sponsors

The residency runs on people who decide a child's talent is worth paying for. If that is you, the Foundation would like to hear from you.

“There is something deeply beautiful about giving young people the opportunity to discover themselves.” The Foundation's own words on why the residency exists.

Our partner

Global Best School of Health Technology

Presented by Professor Adewole Adeyeye. The school trains health technologists in Okitipupa, Ondo State, and stood with the residency for Cohort 1.
